Our Mission
Scrapz exists to support and strengthen local circular systems by keeping valuable materials in use and out of the landfill, while uplifting the people already doing the work in our communities.
We believe sustainability is not about perfection, but participation. By sharing knowledge, offering practical tools, and supporting composting, reuse, and material recovery, we help people better understand where materials go, why it matters, and how small choices can ripple outward.
Our work is guided by one of nature’s oldest truths. Nothing is wasted in a healthy system. Through decay, renewal, and transformation, materials return to purpose and life continues. We approach waste with that same respect, seeing it not as failure, but as a necessary and powerful middle.

The Scrapz Story
Scrapz began after more than 30 years combined in supply chain and logistics, witnessing firsthand how much waste modern commerce produces and how rarely it is meaningfully renewed.
We were not born environmentalists. We cared about the outdoors and the world around us, but for a long time we did not question the systems we helped maintain. Those systems were built for convenience, not care.
We tried to drive change from the inside, pushing for better choices through corporate sustainability efforts and consumer solutions. Time and again, we saw how short-term priorities and profit limits stalled real progress.
Eventually, it became clear that meaningful change would have to start closer to home, by supporting the people already doing the work, sharing what we were learning, and making better choices wherever we could. With smaller scraps, smaller steps, and a belief that second chances are not just for waste, but for people too.
Scrapz is our way of choosing better.
Not because we have always had the answers, but because we stopped waiting for someone else to fix it.
We are not here to shame the past.
We are here to grow something better, together.
Because if we can change, anyone can.
